Bluedepth@david @darren @HistoPol I can see that too. But in a certain small way we’re kicking the tires of this very argument. Like mastodon.lol instance shutdown. People learned about it, and immediately there was a flood from the Fediverse helper account folks on how to shift instances and instance admins started hawking room for the refugees. So in a way, what that was could be construed as training wheels for any negative impact from Meta. The Fediverse is surprisingly resilient, IMHO. :)
