   @david @darren @HistoPol I can see that too. But in a certain small way we’re kicking the tires of this very argument. Like mastodon.lol instance shutdown. People learned about it, and immediately there was a flood from the Fediverse helper account folks on how to shift instances and instance admins started hawking room for the refugees. So in a way, what that was could be construed as training wheels for any negative impact from Meta. The Fediverse is surprisingly resilient, IMHO. :)

     @Bluedepth @david @darren @HistoPol Please dont refer to people moving instances on Social Media as "refugees". Its extremely disrespectful to actual refugees to suggest that Changing instance is anything like the hardships involved in being forced to leave your physical home due to factors like war, dictatorships, political repression and Climate Change...
