While we are making comparisons between the US & Germany's fascism, I think it would be wise to point out that the German liberals voted to give Hitler power rather than work with the true left.
In the US, the true left was quashed as part of a New Deal bargain, and our liberals are willingly "compromising" with the fascists in a pretense of statesmanship.
