the purpose of gender segregation in sports is not to protect women, it is to protect men from having to suffer the emotional suffering of losing to a woman. and in sports where physical characteristics like that do matter, like wrestling for example, we already have a solution for that; which is things like weight classes. take the physical characteristic that actually matters and divide people based upon that! easy.
