"classic step dad move" 😏 it truly is. Any time I reluctantly have to move back home like I had to, the step dad ALWAYS throws a fucking fit. Why it's a problem getting divorced when there's kids involved. I'm not his kid so he doesn't have any real connection with me and just puts my mom in the middle of it, he's always resented me for existing. He tries to act like he doesn't but I know he does. They just want you out of the picture ASAP so they can have their relationship. Plus them being boomers makes it all the more worse because of the generation/financial divide where he's completely out of the loop with the changes that have occurred. Fucker retired from the Navy as I graduated highschool in 2000. He didn't much get to experience what's been going on out there my entire adult life and what I've had to contend with. Now it being MUCH worse, only thing he's really starting to see in getting the picture is food prices. But even still, doesn't matter how fucked it is out there I'm still in the way of his fairy tale retirement just being present. Always clashed with that dude and life has not been easy with a deadbeat dad
