Jersh has often said the only reason CloudFlare needs to exist is because the way the architecture of the Internet is designed has fundamental flaws around which a billion-dollar industry has bloomed which will forever lobby against being fixed. I don't know how true that is, but it seems like he has enough experience at this point to know what he's talking about.
