AI6YR Ben@CStamp @douglasvb I believe this is because Newsom is a politician guided by polling and sampling the wind, and not by any principal. Clearly he has no values, and is just licking his finger and sticking it up in the wind, and it feels (to him) like the only way to win in this world is to become a center right (or right) politician. Similar to the kowtowing by the WaPo/NY Times/LA Times, they're reading the wind and adjusting their sails to maintain their business/power, damn any principles. "Well, I guess it's good business to be the NAZI paper of record now! We better adjust our business plans!"
