@killyourfm I think the barrier to entry is installation and usage. Most Windows users never install Windows and don't t care to learn how. To expect that same pocket of users to now take their aging laptop that is probably underpowered and put Linux on it is a lot to ask. I think the people that are savvy enough to try and actually care about true hardware ownership are probably already running Linux or have made up their minds to stick with Windows. I am hoping to be completely wrong. What a concept in 2025 huh? Aspiring to be wrong about something.
