Joyce Park@skinnylatte All this is less true of newer shelters -- like in Sunnyvale there is one that is close to public transit, allows families to stay together and even keep their pets with them, and I believe although you can't drink or do drugs there they don't insist that you must be completely clean and sober -- but San Francisco's shelter system is a lot older and less centralized.
