@HebrideanHecate @Chronic-Yonic A feature of hierarchical organisations is that the further up the greasy pole they get, the further away they are from the proles. Salary and status are not enough. The must have a set of beliefs, attitudes and sacred knowledge to provide that distance. The medium is the message and us proles are supposed to emulate our betters by absorbing these unquestioningly, lest our low status is revealed.
It is utter wank and we need to address it accordingly.
