Steve's Place@ai6yr @researchbuzz They bought Compaq. I was in R&D there. Do you know how big the R&D team was? Well, we had a VP, a manager, 2 EE's, and me, the firmware guru. I think the 5 of us did more good work than HP has done since the acquisition of Compaq. It's just awful what has become of them.
Not that Compaq was a gem. I could go into excruciating detail on that point. But HP makes them look like diam... well, maybe opals.
