There's a dead period of banana usefulness to me:

Between the period of "still leaning green" (my preference for eating) and the later peiod of "this banana feels like a balloon with apple sauce inside" (prime banana bread ingredient).

Between those two periods, there is fending off my wife from eating the perfectly good bananas during their golden age 🤣
