@hugh @sun so the cost to produce a modern iPhone goes all the way back to the original Mach/XNU kernel in MacOS 10 that they acquired from NeXT in 1997 so "the cost to produce each iPhone 17" is going to look astronomical if you actually went back to every single thing they did over the years that was included in or influenced the final product
