Aral Balkan@randahl I mean, given our history (not to mention the general apathy if not outright support towards Israel’s genocide of the Palestinian people and our shocking treatment of refugees), I wouldn’t bang on about “the torch of freedom” but the first point stands. At least we haven’t succumbed to outright fascism yet and we should try and protect that state of affairs.
