@Niall apparently people's hatred for Elon outweighs their love for the environment which just goes to show they never actually cared about the environment or global warming.

or they actually do understand that EVs and personal choices cannot possibly outweigh the damage being done by corporations, governments, and natural disasters like wildfires and just didn't want to admit it. They just internalized it but were afraid to speak up.
