@Harald @integerpoet @jeffowski What you're saying makes sense Harald, being proud of something you have no choice over is vain. Ultimately, we should find our identity in our achievements, our character, and our reactions to life's situation.

However, black people for centuries are portrayed inferior. They're compared to white people, made to look like animals, or people with no history, or no beauty to broadcast in public. This is changing, yet it still exists. So "proud" brings it to normal.
