@funkula I worked at a resale shop that had a huge bookshelf in the corner with 1$ cds which was stuff that didnt sell or a teen bought on accident etc. I would go through on my break and grab a huge pile based on the covers, listen to them at our listening station, and buy 3-5 a week. I also made a note to check out anything I bought or sold that looked interesting.

So I KNOW I saw a KMFDM cd and thought it looked sick, and there's no way I didn't buy and listen to it. I was just absorbing so much new music at the time, and also learning about music so different from what I knew, even though I listened to metal and classic and all kinds of stuff still. I also had a lot of cds in a huge pile in my car so it was easy for ones to get fucked up or I'd let people take them. That's when I got into deftones too, from seeing the white pony cover.
