There's nothing "restrictive" about wanting someone that can do certain things, or at least be willing to learn them. I work 4 12 hour shifts every damned week, so yes, having someone to help me would be admirable in a wife.
"Automating" basic tasks is the reason our society has gotten so lazy and incompetent. I'd rather get the groceries myself and get it done right than have some third-worlder or other low-IQ twit go and miss half the shit I asked for because they couldn't be bothered to look.
