Sam Levine@skinnylatte Whenever someone asks me if an area is safe my go-to answer is to comment on the amount of cars and the absence/presence of side walks and whether you can cross the street safely without some jerk running a stop sign. It's fascinating how people respond to you answering the question they asked literally (and in fact is what I'm most concerned about when walking someplace) rather than what they were trying to imply.
