While we may have our disagreements, let’s strive to approach each other with respect and maturity. Let's not be like men.
I am critical of the mistreatment of women under all religions, including Islam. Issues like child marriage undeniably exist, as do individuals who are so deeply indoctrinated that they are willing to die for their beliefs. However, it’s impossible to paint all Muslims as terrorists, rapists, or pedophiles. Just as women or feminists are not a monolith —no group of people united by a single belief system can ever be identical in all their views or actions.
That said, acknowledging this doesn’t make me an apologist. I’ve debated with many Muslim men, and many of them have demonstrated the same misogynistic attitudes found in non-Muslim men. Misogyny is their shared belief system. So let's just be real here about who we are up against. As for the Israel-Palestine conflict, it is undeniably a complex and deeply rooted struggle, tied to land, identity, and history, with both sides suffering from extremist factions advocating for annihilation. I wouldn't believe what someone is saying based on subtitles. It doesn't mean it's not true, but, I would always remain suspicious and critical.
