@ppatel @dansup I've advocated for this for a while on Mastodon, but I guess there's no harm in suggesting it for Pixelfed as well since feature development seems to be happening a bit faster on there: an (optional) ability to have alt text suggestions in the UI without needing to use the alt4you/alt4me tags might possibly help a lot with this?

Getting a suggestion as a notification and not cluttering replies, and being able to apply it with a tap instead of copy-pasting into an edited post.
