Sean Bala@liztai I wonder how having 40 episodes guaranteed to tell a story changes the narratives. I've reflected about how production constraints change story telling. For example, many British series are a small number of episodes. In the US, almost all series are approved season to season so it can be hard to tell complete stories. Shows used to have 20 episodes per season but now have fewer. And many streaming services shows have two endings - one in case of cancellation and one if it goes on.
