Jacob sees Esau coming with his army of 400 men and freaks out. He divides his group and puts his servant-wives in the front with their kids as fodder followed by Leah then Rachel and Joseph in the rear. He goes on ahead to meet Esau and bows down before him seven times. Esau sees him and runs up and gives him a hug and is super excited to see his brother. He then asks Jacob who all these people are with him and why all the gifts. Jacob replies that they're his children and wives and his livestock and that God has blessed him greatly. Esau said he's doing great too and doesn't need his stuff. Jacob insists and Esau takes them before pressuring him to return with him. Jacob protests because he has a bunch of young cattle and young children who can't march at Esau's pace. Esau says he'll leave some men with him to watch him, and Jacob says no because he just wants to go at a leisurely pace. Eventually they depart and Jacob keeps on moving before buying some land and building a house in Canaan.
