Nicholas ConradI see a lot of folks upset whenever libraries are 'threatened', but I don't understand why. What purpose do you see for libraries that couldn't be fulfilled cheaper and better by a combination of municipal wifi, the Libby app, and a program to give ruggedized e-readers to anyone who can't afford their own device? I don't think we really need physical infrastructure and publicly employed library science phds in every city, town, and village in America anymore.
