Flood habbening. Noah built an ark because of God's commands. It was likely seen as an insane idea at the time. Noah did it anyway. Sky water and floods? Please! Everybody else was going to keep on doing their thing. Noah spent at least 50 years working on this ark. Again this counters the gnostic-adjacent uncaring OT God belief by the facts involved. God personally instructed Noah on what to do, and he did it.
>15And they went into the ark to Noah, two by two, of all flesh in which is the breath of life. 16So those that entered, male and female of all flesh, went in as God had commanded him; and the Lord shut him in.
God even shuts the door to the ark— likely a massive endeavor presuming the door was an entrypoint for large cattle—before the flood, a sort of final reminder that He is in control and will protect Noah and those on The Ark. @whiteman_
