Warner Crocker@lydiaschoch My mother convinced my sisters and I that the Xmas tree must be taken down and all the ornaments stored away by New Year's Eve. If it wasn't it would bring bad luck. When we got out in the world we were shocked at all the friends houses that were just wishing for bad luck and were very worried. When finally confronted my mother continued the fiction, that unfortunately for my sisters and I led to much humiliation and teasing during our early adulthoods.
