- Embed this notice@sim I do what I can, when I can with music to get me moving. Sometimes, I use the music as a timer. If I'm really not in the mood, but the house is looking awful, I'll decide to clean for 3 songs/1 CD/ 1 podcast episode, then I'm allowed to stop. Even if I don't finish everything, it's better than procrastinating while the mess gets worse.
I also have a cleaner who comes once a fortnight. I'm getting better at keeping on top of things since I hired her, as I'd be ashamed to let her see the level of squalor I sometimes live in, especially in winter when my depression gets worse. It's also less overwhelming knowing that I don't have to do it all on my own.
