Miakoda@chartier Mastodon is the most I've enjoyed a social media "site" (quotes cause it really isn't A site) in my entire life, and the closest I've gotten to a healthier balance betweens scrolling and doing something else. Also, there's a not-too-shabby client application on my Linux machines, instead of NEEDING to be in the browser, which makes me happy.
