     Extrapolate to other social media websites presented as valid alternatives:

     "I don't like Mastodon, full of weird people. This other social media website is more normal, still largely centralised and under control of one single entity at this time, it was funded by some of the same people who built Twitter, and it doesn't hurt that the notorious antivaxxer RFK built his audience there. Don't cancel me, you don't understand."

     @chartier Mastodon is the most I've enjoyed a social media "site" (quotes cause it really isn't A site) in my entire life, and the closest I've gotten to a healthier balance betweens scrolling and doing something else. Also, there's a not-too-shabby client application on my Linux machines, instead of NEEDING to be in the browser, which makes me happy.
