I don't even know if crypto can be trusted as currency (look even the most trustworthy Monero's site uses Cloudflare, probably safe for the wallet internals though?), it's very hard to have something that everyone from different countries can trust, and cryptos still rely on the Internet and ISP. I would say the concept of a international currency is already a wrong expectation, and pushing it as a full replacement of currency is by extension wrong.
