All I hear is "I never had to worry about if attacks on my peers were meaningful and something requiring followup, or yet another attempt to disparage people like me in online spaces and make spaces unsafe for people like me, where acting on the allegations will embolden and empower and play into the hands of those who want to eliminate me from society."

Not surprising that others have different experiences when that's the backdrop.
