This would have more rhetorical weight if anti-elitism was more explicitly and mutually-non-exclusively tied to leftist/communist/whatever thought. It just isn't, and increasingly moreso, continues not to be. The fact is, "CEOs, particularly those in industries that have fucked me over in a lot of tangible ways, getting fucked isn't really that bad" is an infinitely more sympathetic and relatable position than "you need to kill nuns because the church exists to oppress POOR PEOPLE!!!" and that's just facially obvious.
