@lookitmychicken @rinmari basically the same if its just through music streaming, but they payout is much more complicated because there are different tiers of payout if the artist has a video of the same song (which is also connected to youtube music). video streaming earns more than just song streaming, and if the channel has ads, theres also that revenue even if you have youtube premium. they also get a payout if they enroll a song in ID detection, so if their song is used in a video, they get a cut of the profits or have the option to file a takedown notice
im not finding anything specific with the figures, likely because youtube's system is much more complicated. i wouldn't be surprised if the song streaming only payout is the same, but the vast majority of artists i see (especially small indie ones) upload videos for all of their songs, so i imagine that helps
