No, it doesn't. Sure there are political battles to be fought in all organizations. Doesn't mean there isn't faithfully represented data in stuff like the NIH that you can easily download. But here's the thing: you *could* check against manipulation and doublecheck their work but most of it is banal details but at the end of the day a lot of it doesn't change, it's consistent not just with itself but with other sources of data (archives/etc).
