My wife and I are rarely more than a few feet apart. I work from home most days and we've been this way since we met. We even shower together.

We have entirely different interests though. She likes to sew and paint. I like to play music and with computers. So while we're rarely apart, we're not codependent.

But yeah. If you're into the same stuff as your spouse, it's kinda gay.

Nonetheless, I have no need to get away. The noises and thoughts in my head are vacation enough for me.
