> This sounds more like you're not actually reading his post at all, and just assuming what he has meant,
I'm reading it in the context of all of the conversations I have had with him over the years. If I use the "bot" example again, when someone sees me tell someone "You're a bot" and they read "You are functionally indistinguishable from a bot" rather than "I believe you to be a computer program", would you say they haven't read my post, or that they understand what I mean? I've been rambling about persimmons lately, and I sometimes say "pomegranate" when I mean to say "persimmon", and I say "Hey, do you want a pomegranate?" and the woman says "Yes" and then isn't surprised when I toss a persimmon at her.
> actually reading what people write
Yeah, but if they clarify and you say "But here's where you said the thing!" then it's being obtuse.
