    @RepShontelBrown Please tell all of your colleagues in government to leave X/twitter and close any official accounts on it. We need official government accounts on Mastodon. Those using Threads, such as the White House, are not truly federated with the Fediverse. Sure, people whose servers don't block Threads can see those accounts and even follow them, but on Threads the account holders don't see any comments or engagement from Mastodon.       The continued “normalization” of X by many pisses me off. It’s a platform purchased & run by a billionaire who uses it to spread misinformation & hate speech. He used it as a propaganda machine to help elect fascist felon. (He also bribed people to vote for the fascist felon) Those who use X are supporting fascism. This isn’t hyperbole. This is the truth. If you feel that you’re an exception to this, for whatever reason, please look up the definition of cognitive dissonance.
