I need to do a better job of telling people that when I assert something you can take it or leave it, I'll add citations where I can but I'm not going to try hard to convince you if you don' want to believe it. yeah usually I'm just asserting that people with my opinions exist.

I also have expectations for other people though. If you're my friend or friendly acquaintance I am not going to call you stupid for not believing me, if I didn't give you hard evidence you don't have to believe me at all. But please give me the benefit of the doubt that I'm not just making it up as I go along and that I have thought about it a lot and tried to synthesize all my experiences into a coherent belief system.
