@mekkaokereke honestly I see the point you're making here but I think this is a good thing on some level?

I mean on the one hand you have "slow and considered discourse about whether a certain feature is really beneficial to the community"

on the other hand you have "rapid growth"

the former is preferable to me!

(nb: although I value that "slow" approach in many cases, NOT when it comes to safety concerns. Those are urgent and the Mastodon devs are TOO slow to address those)
