Instead of progressively damaging the body and immune system via chemotherapy before trying something like this, she opted to work in reverse and leverage the healthy immune system. It's the kind of table flip that, even if not a one size fits all situation, could be used to justify some more novel studies that present ethical constraints prohibit.
