Hahaha 🤣 no they can't.
I work with people who are start programmers who have written C++ and C for 30+ years. And even they have write memory safe code. They would have to be a borrowchecker to be able to do that.
Of course people are reluctant to change their tooling; that means moving outside their comfort zone...
And in regards to speed: Rust is like 3% slower than C i believe?
