- Embed this notice@cafkafk I'm sorry, I don't see how rms scares people away aside from how he has a track record of being almost always correct.
Every time I hear of an allegation against rms, I go look for the details and it's either a lie, rms has written something correct (except people can't read) or rms responding to something in a way that is seen as "weird", but without malice.
As far as I am aware, rms was the one that wrote the majority of the licenses the FSF published, although he had plenty of help from other people and also from lawyers.
rms also wrote a lot of the GNU software at the start to get the project going.
The FSF is not much without rms, as the FSF has not much sense of direction without rms's guidance.
If people are scared off by freedom, I can't do anything for them sadly and so I see no reason to falter with the goal in reach, yet so far away.
