When I was young, I was at a friend's house. His gf started beating on him and called he cops. She told the cops that he was abusive. I told them what I saw, and they didn't arrest him (they didn't arrest her either, though they technically should have. They would have if she was a he). The shitty part is that they took every gun in the house.
