Tek say resist@jerclarke True, but they still released GPL’d software. You don’t get to do that and then grouse that people are exercising their written freedoms. I mean, if the WordPress team hadn’t released it under the GPL in the first place, they probably wouldn’t have anything to write a plugin for.
