@anna OSCON EU let me give a keynote on this topic ages ago (2016!), which I think is still available but my thoughts were pretty nascent on the issue, and I think you say it better than I did then.

I think putting the cause of software freedom in its place does not diminish from its importance but rather explains why we need it so badly to actually deal with the overarching problems we face in the world how it is today.
