I imagine guys with billion trillion mansions might be a bit more discerning about who they hire so getting to work for them might be a good deal even with the occasional verbal abuse.
Most areas have something that requires gardening, and having decent social skills and doing advertising can quickly fill the schedule if everything's not already contracted to some corpo. That was the case for my dad at least, and the only advantage he had starting out was knowing someone who agreed to make a pretty nifty logo for his business.
