It's actually really sad when you see this in person.

Once there was a similar guy at the grocery store, using his stick with the "grabby" tongs on the end of it, trying to get a big bag of candy off of the top shelf. He was starting to raise a stink, asking for help. I got the hell out of there.

He already had sores on his legs from the diabetes. He wasn't long for this world.
