I was so confused about what you meant but I gotchu now
I never said free speech is the most important issue to me, but it's definitely up there. Reproductive rights are too, and do influence who I'm voting for in local elections. But, the issue of constitutional rights are inherently more important to me than others, because America has backed itself into a corner where the constitution is essentially immutable (for better or for worse), and any attempts made to change it have been to weaken the rights enshrined in it. I fully believe an attack on any right is an attack on all of them, so not an inch must be given (ie on speech regulation and firearms) lest it be used as precedent/an excuse to attack the rest.
