- Embed this notice@sun @coolboymew @graf Analogue systems are FPGA. The allure is it's hardware re-creation of original hardware and it can play real carts and it has a backlit screen and you can mod it with custom firmware to run roms off an SD card.
If I didn't have a gameboy and was in the market for one a Analogue console is in the right ball park if you want to buy a new GBA modded with an IPS screen and flash cart.
If you already got a console though it's probably cheaper to mod your existing one and get a flash cart for it.
