    @PhoenixSerenity All true! I heard a piece on the US response to COVID about a month ago. The original data was collected by volunteers. Volunteers were reporting to the CDC! Until they got tired of it and said this is your job to do. The former director was interviewed and said years of underfunding public health has had a devastating effect; claimed they are short 50K people to adequately do the work. It’s appalling.
